I thought this was pretty cool.  When I was pregnant with my daughter 23 years ago, I would put headphones on my belly and listen to all kinds of music.  I wanted her to love music as much as I did.  Amazingly enough, she grew up loving it and I taught her about the different genres.  She still amazes me to this day when some classic rock and roll comes on and she knows who is singing it!  She is doing the same thing with my grandson and putting the music on her belly too.  It's awesome to see that you can make that kind of a mark on your childs' life.  Priceless.....

  1. I did the same thing and I think it works! My daughter is a music buff. She volunteers at a radio station at school and comes to KC for concerts all of time to help promote them. I think you've started a great tradition for the love of music!

  2. I am sure that my daughter will pass it down to her kids too.

  3. When I was pregnant with my daughter, my son bought a musical stuffed toy that you pulled and it played a song. He would put it on my stomach and play it for her every night. After she was born, if she was fussy, she would instantly calm when she heard the music from that toy. Thanks for helping me remember that!
