Today is a good day.  I wasn't kidding when I said I can't do anything without my music.  Started cleaning and cranked up the tunes.  (You have to be able to hear it over the vacuum right?)  I put on some good country music and when the cleaning was done, I proceeded to start cooking for my Sunday meal with my family.  I love my Sundays!  What kind of music is your absolute favorite?  Maybe it is something that I have not heard and would like to check out.
Saturday was a good day.  Drove all over the city looking for some furniture.  I am in the process of redecorating my daughter's old room into a guest room with the antiques that I acquired from my grandparents.  A friend of mine and I jammed on all kinds of country music to old rock and roll while driving around.  There was even some singing involved. lol  That was hilarious.  We thought we sounded good, not sure about the people at the stop light though  next to us.  Good times.
Friday night was a rather quiet one after having some health issues and tests done in the afternoon so I decided to put some music on that was relaxing.  I find some Sade for those of you who are jazz lovers.  Her music is definitely relaxing and made the day seem a lot better.  I switched over to some Toni Braxton believe it or not, just to listen to something that I have not heard in a long time.
Those of you who couldn't figure out the last pic of the band that I posted.  Believe it or not, it is Mott the Hoople.  Now that's an old one!  I'm definitely aging myself.

Going to dinner and listen to a bad with some friends this evening.  Just my cup of tea.  I love checking out new bands.  This one is called Teacherz Pet.  I believe they play older rock and roll.  Right up my alley.  I need something up beat after a gloomy day with this weather.  Looking forward to Easter with the family tomorrow morning.  It will probably be another Adelle day.
Well guys, after the week I have had and the stress that comes along with it, I can say that your replies to my blog have lightened me up and made me laugh out loud.  Thank you for the smiles.  Here is the next one for you.  Who is it quick?!!

Anyone know what band this is?
Hey there music lovers.  It has been a few days and I thought I would let you know what music has done for me lately.  I had a rather rough weekend and was really stressed out and overly tired so I put on some classic rock and roll and caught up on some phone calls to my old friends that I needed to return.  These are people that I grew up with and we still keep in touch.  It was amazing that by the time I was done with just the first call, between the music in the background that we grew up with and the stories we told, it was a blessing to my day.  I found myself more relaxed and smiling.  What about you?

I thought this was pretty cool.  When I was pregnant with my daughter 23 years ago, I would put headphones on my belly and listen to all kinds of music.  I wanted her to love music as much as I did.  Amazingly enough, she grew up loving it and I taught her about the different genres.  She still amazes me to this day when some classic rock and roll comes on and she knows who is singing it!  She is doing the same thing with my grandson and putting the music on her belly too.  It's awesome to see that you can make that kind of a mark on your childs' life.  Priceless.....

Still Listening

It seems that I can't do anything with my music!  Another day and I am jamming to some Alanis Morisette while I'm cleaning. Talk about a motivator!

How Music Helps Us Through

Hello my fellow music lovers!

I wanted to write a blog about music because it has been such a huge part of my life.  Have you ever just gotten lost in a song?  Had a bad day or the best  day of your life and music was a part of it?  Today was a good day and I am feeling a little country and sassy so I put in some Miranda Lambert.  She tells it like it is.  Tell me your stories about how music has helped you through.  I would love to hear them!
